The Wercs, Ltd. Releases Software Upgrade for Flagship MSDS Software Product
The WERCS 5.3 Combines a New Look with Advanced Functionality
ALBANY, NY – The Wercs, Ltd., a global leader in Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) software, today announced the availability of version 5.3 of The WERCS, its software solution for providing companies with industrial strength worldwide environmental and regulatory compliance solutions.
The highly anticipated release of 5.3 offers a multitude of new features and capabilities, which enhance the authoring, distributing and managing of MSDSs and other hazard communication documents.
Usability is enhanced through an improved front end, WERCS Studio. The new front end will allow a user to access multiple applications and documentation from the WERCS desktop. This means increased productivity and lower operational costs.
Additionally, sophisticated web based modules now allow seamless sharing of critical SARA data as well as VOC and HAPS data across multiple levels within and outside of an organization. This further reduces operational costs and ensures immediate and real-time information.
Among the 50 engineering changes include functionality that allows for publishing labels to PDF, allowing for a streamlined process of distributing hazard labels via a company’s intranet and Internet. Audit trails are further enhanced with certified revision marks on documents. This new feature enables companies to capture who made the revision, when they made the revision and why they made the revision. Lastly, the automated transportation calculator was improved to provide enhanced automation and product transportation classifications used in the MSDS.
