The Wercs Advances Regulatory Expertise
Appoints Two Industry Veterans to Enhance Regulatory Compliance Leadership
Albany, NY (March 15, 2006) The Wercs, Ltd., the global leader in material safety data sheet (MSDS) authoring software, today announced the appointment of Karen Lintz and Kevin Skerrett to its regulatory compliance operations. Lintz and Skerrett come to The Wercs with a combined 30 years of experience in regulatory compliance and assurance. They will be responsible for authoring MSDS for Wercs Professional Services and will be heavily involved in product development.
Lintz is an experienced toxicologist with 15 years of regulatory experience. Prior to joining The Wercs, Lintz was a Regulatory Specialist for GE Silicones where she directed toxicology testing for industrial, personal care, and consumer products. She also held positions at The Cancer Center of Albany Med., Frontier Science and Technology Research Foundation, and Ecology & Environment. Lintz received a master s degree in Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutics from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Skerrett comes to The Wercs with more than 15 years of regulatory experience. His expertise is in hazardous waste characterization and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining The Wercs, Skerrett was a Chemical Regulations Specialist with the Worldwide Material Safety Group of the Eastman Kodak Company. At Eastman Kodak, he was responsible for writing internal MSDSs and assigning transportation classifications for nearly 800 research and development chemicals per year. Skerrett has also held positions in Kodak s Research and Development Support Group, Kodak s Hazardous Waste Management Group and the University of Rochester. Skerrett received a master s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester.
